Permanent General Manager Operations and Planning opportunity based in Busselton.Your new companyHays has partnered with a dynamic utilities company that is based in the southern region of WA. They supply drinking water to the growing population of the area, focusing on innovation, sustainability and community support to ensure the highest quality water delivery.Your new roleAs General Manager Operations and Planning, you will report to the CEO. This position will drive strategic direction, manage operations, and oversee infrastructure planning.Your responsibilities will include:Ensuring health and safety compliance.Managing and delivering established targets and outcomes for all operation activities, including delivery of water services, water quality management, asset management, and infrastructure planning.Contributing to the growth of current and new business and diversification into wastewater, drainage, and irrigation services.Fostering staff engagement and delivering customer-focused outcomes.Actively participating as an executive leader at Busselton Water, including participation in various forums and championing culture change and the strategic direction for operations and investment planning in the organization.Ensuring strategies are in place to address resource challenges and gaps arising from workforce planning.Leading the development of data analysis, plans, investigations, and business cases to support Busselton Water's Infrastructure Investment program and business growth opportunities.Managing field and treatment operations, water source, treatment water quality, and asset management within the relevant Busselton Water policies and procedures.Managing a team of 21 employees, including 5 direct reports and 16 indirect.What you'll need to succeedTertiary qualification or similar in a relevant engineering discipline.Previous experience within a water utility or similar industry/environment.Skilled in all MS Office applications including Excel, SharePoint, Power BI, Teams, etc.Good communication and written skills.What you'll get in returnCompetitive salary.Close-knit team.Relocation package.Opportunity to work on a large-scale project.What you need to do nowIf you're interested in this role, click 'apply now' to forward an up-to-date copy of your CV, or call Dillan Morris to discuss further.
