Narungga Nation Aboriginal Corporation (NNAC) is the Peak Body representing Narungga Traditional Owners and Native Title Claimants. The Corporation is member-based, focusing on developing strong and healthy families, growing Aboriginal culture, and maintaining connection to country for future generations. They ensure their people have both a strong voice and access to opportunities.Reporting to the Board and initially employed on a 3-year fixed term contract, the primary purpose is to lead and coordinate all aspects of the aims and objectives of NNAC and to establish various commercial and cultural entities, for the benefit of Narungga people. A key focus of the role will be the successful implementation of a strategic plan with other primary responsibilities including, but not limited to:Coordinating and leading representation of the NNAC and the Narungga community in all relevant regional issues.Leading and coordinating Native Title agreement outcomes and Buthera Agreement outcomes on behalf of the members.Leading nation building initiatives.Managing information flows to members.Working in collaboration with Point Pearce Aboriginal Corporation on matters of mutual interest.Managing resources, applying good governance, and organizing financial reporting and auditing requirements.Developing NNAC and associated entities and managing quality and effective service delivery and achievement of deliverables.As the successful candidate, you will possess demonstrated knowledge and understanding of Indigenous Australians including in native title and community aspirations and needs and can work effectively with Indigenous Australians in corporate and community settings.You will also be experienced in developing and implementing corporate and community plans and strategies to achieve social, cultural, environmental and economic outcomes, and excel in establishing networks, brokering solutions and building relationships.A tertiary qualification in Indigenous studies, natural and cultural resource management, law, policy and corporate governance, business development and community development, or equivalent experience is essential to the role.
