They are responsible for meeting production and maintenance targets, maintaining quality and efficiency, and managing the supply chain.The role involves directing workflow to the leading hands at both sites and monitoring cross-functional teams to optimise operations and drive continuous improvement. They also ensure high standards in engineering practices and quality control from product inception to completion.What you'll need to succeedTo excel in this role, you'll need substantial experience leading and engaging large teams, demonstrating your ability to foster a collaborative and positive working environment. Your prior experience as a Production or Workshop Manager is crucial, showcasing your capability to manage complex operations and drive team success.At the very least, you must possess trade qualifications, although additional certifications or higher education will be highly advantageous. Your extensive knowledge of metal fabrication processes, equipment, and quality control procedures will be essential. We expect you to present concrete examples of your work, demonstrating your exceptional safety record and the successful projects you've managed.We are particularly interested in individuals with a solid background in project management, a keen eye for detail, and significant experience in quality management. Strong leadership skills are a must, as you will be guiding and motivating your team to achieve operational excellence.Additionally, if you have experience in truck build and maintenance, hydraulics, electrical systems, and agitators, it will be highly beneficial.
