General Manager

Our client is a thriving business specialising in transport, with strong national coverage and focus on the eastern and south eastern states of Australia.
They seek a dynamic General Manager to lead the business forward and capitalise on their existing networks. The successful candidate will have genuine autonomy, making key strategic decisions while receiving support when needed.
Key Responsibilities: Strategic Planning: Develop and execute plans to optimise productivity and drive business growth.Operational Oversight: Manage day-to-day operations, ensuring efficiency and adherence to company standards.Team Leadership: Recruit, onboard, and train employees, fostering a high-performance culture.Financial Management: Develop and maintain budgetary plans, ensuring financial targets are met.Process Improvement: Identify and implement innovative changes to enhance organisational effectiveness.Relationship Building: Cultivate strong relationships with internal teams and external partners to drive business success.Desired Skills and Qualifications: Proven managerial experience with strong decision-making ability. Applications will also be considered from candidates ready to step into a management and leadership position.Previous experience in the logistics, distribution, transport or related industries.Excellent communication, collaboration, and delegation skills.Financial acumen with demonstrated capability in developing and achieving financial plans.Ability to motivate and lead teams, holding them accountable for performance.Strong understanding of operational procedures and process improvements.Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Business Management or a related field desirable but not essential.Why Join Our Client?
