Carclew is the home of youth arts and creativity, connecting all children and young people to the world of creative possibilities as artists, learners and audiences. As Australia's largest multi-artform cultural institution dedicated to children and young people, Carclew is at a point of renewal and growth. Carclew is currently recruiting for two leadership positions. The General Manager and Head of Programming will work as a team to lead the organisational and creative programming for this flagship youth arts organisation. Reporting direct to the CEO, these roles are pivotal in delivering on Carclew's ten-year strategic vision to have the greatest impact on the greatest number. As our General Manager, you'll operate at the ASO8 level, overseeing a diverse portfolio including finance, operations, marketing, development, and grants programs. Reporting directly to the CEO, you are a strategic leader driving operational efficiency alongside creative vision. You'll manage Carclew's staff-generated funding applications, lead a team of experts, and foster a supportive work culture, all while championing youth arts. You're a dynamic and visionary leader with a passion for youth arts and a knack for strategic management. With established connections in the arts community, you'll be crucial in delivering on our guiding principle to amplify the youth arts sector. Your track record in operational management and commitment to innovation will be instrumental in Carclew's growth and renewal. You understand the importance of working with children safely and are dedicated to fostering a positive workplace culture. Key Accountabilities and Functions Lead the finance and operations team to deliver high-quality support across the organisation. Prepare annual budgets and funding program acquittals, ensuring compliance with government regulations. Oversee day-to-day administration and governance, implementing systems for effectiveness and compliance. Lead marketing and development efforts, nurturing relationships with stakeholders and ensuring fundraising success. Manage Carclew's grants programs, celebrating and storytelling the impact of funded artists. Ensure operational excellence and safety across Carclew sites, including maintenance and risk management.
