Their range of services includes children's programs, aged care, playgroups, family day care, youth services, emergency relief, financial counselling, and therapeutic counselling.About the role:The General Manager will be responsible for the overall leadership and management of CCA NSW ensuring its mission, vision, and goals are met. The GM will work closely with the Board to develop and implement strategic plans and oversee the operational management of the organisation. The role demands a highly motivated, strategic, and hands-on leader capable of managing the complexities of a medium-sized not-for-profit organisation.Key responsibilities:Strategic LeadershipWork with the Board to set the strategic direction and vision of the organisation.Lead the development and implementation of strategies to drive growth across key program areas.Ensure alignment with the organisation's mission and values.Operational and Program ManagementOversee day-to-day operations, ensuring efficiency and adherence to policies and procedures.Manage and evaluate the effectiveness of programs, making adjustments as necessary.Ensure compliance with all legal, regulatory, and funding requirements.Financial OversightPrepare and manage the annual budget in collaboration with the Board Treasurer and Finance Committee.Ensure financial sustainability through effective resource allocation, budget control, and fundraising initiatives.Capacity to implement new initiatives including NDIS and other government and non-government funded programs.Stakeholder Engagement and Public RelationsBuild and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including government agencies, donors, community leaders, partner organizations, members, and volunteers.Serve as the primary spokesperson for CCA NSW, representing the organization in the community and media.Oversee the development and execution of a communication strategy to raise awareness of the organisation's mission and impact.Staff and Volunteer ManagementLead, mentor, and manage the staff and volunteers.Foster a collaborative, inclusive, and productive organizational culture.Ensure that performance goals are set and regularly evaluated.Board RelationsWork closely with the Board, keeping them informed of organisational performance, risks, and strategic developments.Attend Board meetings and provide reports on organisational progress, challenges, and opportunities.Assist in the recruitment, orientation, and development of new Board members.Essential Criteria:Proven experience in a senior leadership role, preferably in a not-for-profit organisation.Establish and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders, including government agencies, community organisations, and funding bodies.Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the NDIS program, its regulations, funding mechanisms, and service delivery models.Strong financial acumen, including experience managing budgets and fundraising to ensure the sustainability and growth of the organisation.Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively convey the organisation's mission and goals.Experience in leading and implementing organisational change to adapt to evolving needs and trends.Desirable Skills/Experience:Understanding of governance principles and experience working with a Board of Directors.Knowledge and demonstrated understanding of Early Childhood Education, Aged Care programs & Disability programs.Demonstrated ability to manage the organisation through a period of change.Strong skills in managing risk in the not-for-profit sector.How to apply:Beaumont People have been retained to recruit this position on behalf of CCA NSW.
