Position Overview Wetland Revival Trust (WRT) is seeking a General Manager to ensure the success, growth and financial sustainability of the organisation. This role provides an opportunity for an individual passionate about environmental outcomes to contribute significantly to WRT's ecological restoration mission and overall organisational success.
As the General Manager at Wetland Revival Trust, you will be integral to maintaining the efficient and strategic functioning of our not-for-profit environmental charity. We are seeking an individual with strong organisational, financial and business management skills, capable of formulating strategic plans and actions in collaboration with the Director and stakeholders to meet WRT's mission.
This role will suit a highly organised individual with the ability to think big picture, as well as think through and action the detail autonomously. Your contribution will be fundamental in ensuring successful operations in accordance with WRT guidelines, with a focus on safety, governance, quality, and sustainable financial management.

Your Responsibilities: Operations: Provide support to the Director organizationally and with strategic decision making Manage day-to-day operations and embed processes and policies for efficient operations Manage HR functions, including recruitment, inductions, staff management Manage and mentor staff Oversee all business accounting and reporting requirements, including annual reporting Regularly liaise with and manage Operational Accountant (external) regarding accounting, financial reporting and annual audits Collaborate with the accountant on annual budgets, supplier payments, and payroll Leverage financial insights for strategic decisions Health, Safety and Environment: Continuous improvement and review of systems for meeting WRT's OHS responsibilities Manage the remote working procedures to ensure all staff are safe in field Governance and Compliance: Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to meeting ACNC, ASIC and REO reporting requirements Manage liaison with the Committee of Management and quarterly committee meetings in collaboration with Director, including setting agenda, facilitating, and recording outcomes Ensure compliance with the Trust Deed, and report to the Committee of Management Project Management: Enable the Project Manager to run projects in line with WRT processes, policies and OHS procedures Fundraising and Marketing: Oversee and contribute to marketing and PR strategies and activities, including web presence Culture: Ensure staff compliance with all WRT policies including cultural training Positively contribute to the team's overall goals and ambitions Provide constructive feedback, communicate with honesty and empathy Build long-lasting relationships, founded on trust and respect What you will bring: Ability to articulate Wetland Revival Trust vision and values Demonstrated business management and finance skills Ability to define goals, develop strategies and to plan, coordinate, and implement Good knowledge of and experience in developing practical and sustainable business plans including creating, managing and analysing budgets Ability to work at both a strategic and operational level Human resources management OHS legislation and procedures Excellent organisational, administrative, time management skills and attention to detail Excellent inter-personal skills and communication skills Ability to work well within and across teams Relevant tertiary qualification and/or demonstrated extensive experience in business Highly Desirable Skills and Experience: The ideal candidate will have skills in two or more of the following areas:
