General Manager – Bendigo Welcome to Omari Bendigo, a vibrant, fully licensed cafe/restaurant nestled in the picturesque Bendigo Botanical Gardens. We're on the hunt for a dynamic General Manager to lead our team and oversee all daily operations. This full-time gig offers a competitive salary of $80,000 + superannuation.
As our General Manager, you'll be the heartbeat of our venue, driving smooth operations and championing our success. Your stellar leadership, strategic vision, and commitment to excellence will keep Omari Bendigo shining bright.
Your Role in the Spotlight: Venue Management & Operations: Keep daily operations running like clockwork, delivering seamless service and unforgettable experiences. Craft and execute strategies that boost efficiency and delight our customers. Uphold health, safety, and licensing standards, creating a safe and inviting space for everyone. Staff Leadership & Training: Recruit, train, and inspire our fantastic team, fostering a culture of teamwork and excellence. Organize regular training sessions and professional development opportunities. Manage staff schedules to ensure we're always ready to wow our guests, even during peak times. Financial Management: Keep a keen eye on budgets, driving optimal efficiency and stellar financial performance. Oversee inventory, minimizing wastage and securing the best deals. Build rock-solid relationships with suppliers to ensure top-quality and cost-effective procurement. Customer Relations & Quality Control: Engage with our guests, gather feedback, and ensure every visit is a superior experience. Maintain high standards across all aspects of our venue, from mouthwatering dishes to impeccable service and ambiance. Regularly update operational procedures to stay ahead of industry trends and best practices. Event Coordination: Team up with our events crew to manage catering and special events. Ensure events are flawlessly executed, leaving clients thrilled. Design and implement event-specific operational plans to exceed expectations. Continuous Improvement: Stay ahead of industry trends and best practices. Continuously seek ways to enhance venue efficiency, reduce costs, and elevate the guest experience. What We're Looking For: Qualifications: Desirable Diploma qualification or equivalent experience. Experience: At least 2 years in a relevant managerial role. Skills: Strong leadership and team management skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Proficiency in financial management and budget control. Exceptional organizational and time management skills. Ability to maintain high standards of health, safety, and hygiene. Problem-solving prowess and conflict resolution skills.
