The Role Reporting into our Chief of Individual Business, the General Manager, Emerging Individual Markets is a newly created role in our organisation.
This critical role will be responsible for -exploring, developing and driving the implementation of new growth opportunities for the individual insurance market.
You will succeed by identifying new opportunities, creating new tailored solutions and propositions for identified non-advised customer segments, beyond our core retail (advised) channel, along with coordinating the delivery of these new solutions to the market.
The purpose and focus of your role is to lead the exploration of new channels and propositions opportunities, with the ultimate objective of developing new revenue streams for MLC over and above our existing advised channels.
In this role, you will also have the opportunity to resource and build a team to support you in delivering to our strategic objectives.
About you You are a highly experienced professional with 10+ years of experience in the life insurance industry with deep-seated understanding of the end to end operational environment.
You are familiar with working in customer-centric roles with a combined knowledge in strategy, digital, using data and analytics, and predictability insights to make key decisions. You will have a knack for business development and building key relationships or partnerships with various parties, including affinity partners, in the life insurance ecosystem.
You can speak to your success in identifying new opportunities and translating them into tangible outcomes for the business, with a willingness to roll up your sleeves and play a hands-on role in making things happen.
Lastly, you are a passionate people leader who believes in leading your team through ambiguity and providing ample development opportunities, along with strong stakeholder engagement skills as you take internal teams on a journey through new development opportunities.
