The Rural City of Murray Bridge is anticipating significant growth and aims to strengthen its regional position through a variety of initiatives, including a $7.5 billion housing project set to launch in 2025. This project will develop the area over 30-40 years, providing jobs, services, and affordable housing. Additionally, a 20-year growth plan includes new school construction and housing, expecting the population to increase by over 7,100 people by 2041.

Key Responsibilities: Lead, direct and evaluate a wide range of community-focused portfolios, including planning and compliance, cultural services, community development, library services, sports facilities and more.Develop and implement high-performing strategies, policies and procedures that align with legislative requirements and support effective decision-making.Provide expert advice and recommendations to the CEO and Council on sustainable community plans and initiatives.Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration and continuous improvement across your teams.Manage budgets, resources and projects to ensure efficient, cost-effective service delivery.Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including government agencies, community groups and industry partners.To succeed in this role, you will need: Extensive experience in leading, managing and developing high-performing teams.A proven track record of building productive relationships with diverse stakeholders.Exceptional strategic thinking, problem-solving and decision-making skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to influence and inspire others.Exposure to local government legislation, policies and procedures.A commitment to delivering exceptional customer culture and community outcomes.Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline, with postgraduate qualifications highly regarded.In return, you'll enjoy a competitive salary, generous benefits and the opportunity to make a lasting difference in a thriving regional community.
