About the opportunity
An opportunity has emerged for an experienced General Manager to guide this company through its next phase of growth and excellence. This pivotal role involves overseeing all aspects of daily operations, driving operational efficiency, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget, and leading a high-performance team. The General Manager will hold an overarching responsibility to provide strategic direction and leadership across the organisation's operations.
Key Responsibilities Enhancing employee engagement by creating a supportive work environment, promoting open communication, and implementing initiatives to boost morale, motivation, and commitment.Leading, mentoring, and developing department managers, project teams, and supervisors to achieve high levels of performance and professional growth.Collaborating with the senior leadership team to define and execute the company's long-term strategy and growth plans.Developing cost-cutting strategies aimed at identifying and eliminating financial inefficiencies in the organisation.Achieving accurate financial forecasts and conducting monthly reviews comparing forecasts to actual accruals to assess accuracy and identify any discrepancies.Conducting regular audits of internal processes to evaluate efficiency, compliance, and effectiveness, as well as identifying areas for improvement and ensuring they are aligned with organisational standards and regulatory requirements.Providing regular training on internal processes to ensure employees are equipped with the knowledge and skills to follow standard procedures, maintain consistency, and enhance operational efficiency.Driving an increase in quarterly booked revenue for projects by implementing effective sales strategies, strengthening client relationships, and identifying new business opportunities.Increasing the gross profit margin by optimising pricing strategies, reducing production/operational costs, and enhancing the value delivered to customers.Increasing client referrals by maintaining strong client relationships and delivering exceptional customer service.Conducting an internal project close-out review by gathering and analysing client feedback, assessing project success, and identifying areas for improvement.About you

Extensive experience in a leadership role.A relevant qualification in civil construction/trade, engineering/construction/project management or commerce (desirable).Previous experience in resource planning, financial oversight, and project management.Sales, marketing, manufacturing, and cost management expertise.Strong communication skills with the ability to inspire and align teams with organisational goals and objectives.A focus on continuous improvement being results-driven and performance-oriented.What's on Offer
