General Manager - Business Development

General/Business Unit Manager (CEO & General Management) Our client is an industry specialist in effective facilities management services, delivered into the vertical markets of Government, Education, Health Care, Institutional, and FM Commercial.
Currently servicing 400 corporate sites across Australia, the client list has been built and maintained on service delivery excellence, trust, and relationship.
The essence of this role is to expand territory in target market sectors, leveraging the company's reputation and social justice ethos when engaging clientele. The elements for success in this role include acting as the first point of contact in sales; you are required to source long-term relationships with clients and key decision makers to develop business opportunities for services to meet sales targets.
Reporting to the Managing Director, the measure of success will be based on the new business leads that are converted into live opportunities.
Preparing and submitting Sales/KPI reports, tenders, proposals, and sales documentation is essential.
You will also be managing a team of two Senior Business Development staff.
Ideally, you will have a good level of commercial/business awareness supported by relevant industry (facilities management) experience.
