General Manager, Australia & New ZealandPermanent role

Location: NSW, Sydney

The General Manager of ANZ will lead the ANZ Sales & Operations team to spearhead initiatives aimed at optimizing sales growth and achieving ANZ's sales objectives. This role will also serve as the company's representative in ANZ markets for statutory and compliance purposes. The individual must be skilled at quickly building rapport, leveraging working relationships, and representing the company's strategic vision across teams to drive success.

We are seeking to hire a General Manager who will play a crucial role in enhancing our brand presence, driving revenue growth, and solidifying our market leadership in Australia and New Zealand.

What you will do: Sales Management Ownership to drive and achieve sustainable sales and exceed sales targets in ANZ.Proactively develop and implement the ANZ Sales Activity Plan in conjunction with relevant stakeholders.Align and establish relevant KPIs to monitor progress against Plan and develop and implement remedial actions where required.Lead the ANZ Sales Team to drive Premier accounts and portfolios across the geography.Ensure customer data and segmentation for the geography is managed and maintained to enable accurate analysis of trends and KPIs and to maximise marketing campaign outcomes.Facilitate linkage with local and regional functional leads to ensure market specific customer requirements are communicated and integrated into plans to develop our local service offer.Lead the ANZ team to achieve high levels of employee engagement and high performance in line with strategic objective to build a great place to work.Ensure excellent customer service is always delivered in line with Group policies.Provide effective reporting mechanisms and business communications channels.Demonstrate role model behaviour and provide a framework to develop the team's skill sets and behaviours through regular coaching, performance management and training initiatives.Conduct regular team meetings/briefings.Responsible for ANZ sales budget and profitability achievement, cost management. Local discount management and approval processes.Liaise with customers, establishing and working with business partners and suppliers.Business Development Initiatives Lead organisation-wide partnership negotiations to support customers, business partners and sales initiatives.Build and maintain an engaged and positive relationship with partners and key people in the industry and develop strong relationships with broader stakeholders in the region.Work closely with Functional Heads in APAC on a wide range of strategic initiatives including reviewing strategy, exploring new business initiatives and examining potential acquisitions that will have a material impact on the business.Manage the ANZ sub region annual and long range strategic planning process and support translating the strategic deployment plans into executable, pragmatic actions.Act as an executive level thought-partner for major strategic considerations and analytical support where needed.Work closely across APAC team on the market analysis of competitors, expansion opportunities, internal performance, industry trends and other strategic issues.Other Regional Management Responsibilities

Risk Management:
Be accountable for ensuring there is a process for reviewing risks which may potentially impact the market from achieving business objectives.Be responsible for ensuring there is a process in place for reviewing and assessing risks and where appropriate, associated action plans and that they are regularly reviewed by the management team.Business Continuity:
Be accountable to ensure that the market has in place a business continuity plan and is assured that if invoked, the plan will work as expected.Nominate one employee to responsible for ensuring the market's business continuity plan is regularly reviewed, updated with the latest version sent to the nominated business continuity team. The BCP should be tested at least annually to provide the assurance that the plan would work as expected.Quality Management:
Hold accountability to ensure the market continues to adhere to the ISO9001 Quality Management standard.Nominate one employee to responsible for ensuring the individual requirements set out in the ISO9001 Quality Management standards are maintained within the market.Environmental, Health and Safety:
Owns ultimate accountabilities of EH&S, making sure the right resources are put in place to drive this topic.Be responsible for ensuring need to communicate the importance of EH&S, arrange for effective consultation and participation of employees, develop, and promote culture to support outcomes.Take overall responsibility and accountability for prevention of accidents and ill health. Foster a culture of openness with regard to the reporting of unsafe conditions and/or behaviours.To integrate occupational health and safety (OH&S) into business processes, drive safety improvement plans, and make health and safety a regular agenda item at local leadership team meetings. What existing skills and experience will you need to be successful in this opportunity? Proven experience in sales, business development, strategic planning, management consulting, or merger & acquisitions.Proven track record in achieving aggressive sales targets.Experience of Key/Strategic Account Management and proven track record in sales, in a B2B/technical environment.Strong leadership skills and coaching with experience in building, retaining, and motivating a high-performance team.Demonstrate the ability to influence, challenge, negotiate, build credibility and work with integrity at all levels within the internal and external organisation.Understanding and experience of e-commerce solutions within a B2B environment.Understanding of procurement strategies within a business environment and able to articulate value solutions to support customer needs.A thorough understanding of the ANZ business environment, broad industry knowledge, industry drivers and trends.Comfortable with ambiguity, and in a dynamic and fast-moving work environment.Ability to communicate complex processes, problems, and solutions in a simple, compelling and accurate manner. Think and lead strategically with a keen attention to detail.Innovative and entrepreneurial approach and ability to develop efficient processes.Culturally sensitive and have strong emotional intelligence and able to work under pressure.
