A highly sought after opportunity exists to join our client as General Counsel, and play a lead role in meeting the legal demands of this complex, multi-disciplinary organisation.
Serving as a trusted advisor to the Group Executive, the General Counsel is responsible for contributing to the success of Epworth HealthCare through the provision of high-level, commercially astute, strategic legal advice and support to ensure that the organisation's operations run smoothly and risk is mitigated appropriately.
Responsibilities are broad ranging and cover the full gamut of corporate legal issues including legal risk management, legislative compliance, complex legal negotiations and property and infrastructure projects, general commercial contracting, medico-legal, research and clinical trials, privacy and access to information.
The General Counsel will also provide corporate governance support to the Board.
Your strong technical capability is balanced by a responsive, pragmatic, commercially astute, service-oriented and outcomes-focused approach.
You will be capable of leading and managing a team.
You will have a proven track record in confidently interacting with a range of stakeholders and contributing at a senior level.
