About the role A General Assistant - Toolstore person is responsible for providing high level customer service to enhance the effective and efficient delivery of frontline class support. Your day-to-day activities will include but not limited to supporting students by contributing to a positive learning experience, general administration work, purchasing and organising tools, equipment and materials for students and staff. This is a casual role based out of TAFE NSW's Wagga Wagga campus location. This position will carry out manual handling activities and will be required to work to a roster. About You You are a self-starter who is willing to be hands-on to support learning outcomes and delivery in the classroom. You are excited to share your industry knowledge and experience with others and available for casual work. Have demonstrated experience working within a trade environment, using a range of hand and power tools and able to conduct minor repairs and maintenance. We will work around your current availability Essential Criteria Demonstrated experience working within a trade environment or related work areas. Demonstrated experience in all aspects of purchasing within a trade environment. Demonstrated experience in use of hand and power tools, and tool maintenance in a trade environment. Demonstrated ability to work as a team member or with limited supervision. Ability to address and meet focus capabilities as stated in the Position Description. Highly Desirable: Forklift license Experience in specific trades including Automotive, Air-Conditioning, Bricklaying, Fitting & Machining, Metal Fabrication and Welding, Electrical, Plumbing, Furniture and/or Construction, Hair, Beauty and Nursing/Aged Care.
