Job No: ISC309Location: InverellApplications are invited for the position of General Assistant, based at Council's Inverell Works Centre.
The successful applicant shall be a member of the Construction Surveillance Section, responsible for the satisfactory execution of general road maintenance and construction duties.Applicants should address the following selection criteria: Essential Qualifications:NSW School Certificate/ Record of School Achievement or equivalent;NSW Class C Drivers Licence;Traffic Control Work Training Card (SafeWork NSW and/or Certification);SafeWork NSW General Construction Induction card ('White Card');Desirable Qualifications:NSW Class MR Drivers Licence;National Licence to perform High Risk Work for Dogging (DG);Employment will be in accordance with the terms and conditions of the Local Government (State) Award 2023.
The classification for the position will be up to Operational Band 1, Level 2, Grade 2.
Salary will be in accordance with qualifications and experience, ranging from $999.85 to $1,054.90 gross per week.
Additionally, a Level 1 Adverse Working Conditions Allowance of $0.498 per hour will be paid where applicable.The ordinary hours of work shall be spread between Monday and Friday inclusive and shall not exceed twelve (12) hours in any one day exclusive of unpaid meal breaks or seventy-six (76) hours per fortnight in terms of Clause 19 of the Local Government (State) Award 2023.Enquiries in relation to the nature of the position may be made by speaking directly with Council's Operations Coordinator, Jay Halloran on .Please submit your application online at the Council Employment Section at www.inverell.nsw.gov.au.
