About the role In this fully autonomous role, you'll be responsible for gardening & maintenance duties, supporting our clients within our Home Care Service, across the Gold Coast and surrounding regions including Brisbane. You will be providing lawn and garden maintenance, tree and shrub pruning, garden waste removal and some basic maintenance such as smoke alarm, light bulb and key safe installation.
You will also be required to conduct our first face to face contact with new clients assessing their homes for safety & security whilst providing detailed information about our services.
This position is largely an outdoor role working in all weather conditions throughout the year.
You will maintain an inventory of equipment and ensure it's in accordance with manufacturer recommendations. Along with relevant record keeping and administration, you will ensure all practices are completed in a timely manner, including all planned and programmed gardening and maintenance.
About you You are a self-starting and driven individual who loves working collaboratively as part of a team, however, you are also capable of working on your own. You have an advanced level of interpersonal skills which allows you to liaise and engage with a diverse range of stakeholders.
With your highly developed customer focus and excellent service skills you resolve gardening and maintenance issues as they arise. You have proven knowledge and physical capacity to use and maintain equipment as required by the role. Ever ready to provide support, you have a welcoming, caring and compassionate nature.
To be suited to this position ideally you will have:
Demonstrated experience in a gardener/handyman/maintenance role/outdoor role; Previous experience in residential aged care, retirement living or community services environment is highly regarded; Applied knowledge of Workplace Health & safety requirements, or ability to acquire same within one month of employment; Ability to operate windows applications at an intermediate level, including the following applications: Outlook, Internet Explorer, Teams, Word & various organizational applications; A current driver's licence Importantly, you will be someone who closely aligns with our organisational values of: Unconditional Love, Continual Innovation, Mutual Trust, Safety and Wise Stewardship.
