The position of Lecturer will contribute to teaching, learning and scholarship at AIE Institute.
The Lecturer is responsible for undertaking undergraduate teaching and learning, scholarship, and service and engagement.
Teaching responsibilities include scholarly approaches to the delivery of courses and innovative teaching and learning pedagogies.
AIE Institute is seeking to appoint an academic member of staff who will collaborate to implement curricula that meet the Threshold Standards 2021 under the Higher Education Standards Framework and professional accreditation standards, where relevant.
The Lecturer is also expected to provide academic advice and support to students within the policies and procedures of AIE Institute.
This role includes teaching in the areas of game art and animation including modelling, texturing, game environments, animation, character pipeline, digital lighting and visual effects and level design.
The appointee will also be expected to contribute to supervising teams as well as individual student projects and internships, and teaching joint cohort units in graphic design principles and art optimisation techniques.

Postgraduate qualification in the discipline area or closely related fieldDemonstrated knowledge and skills in teaching and learning and in the discipline area, including at least two of the areas listed below- game art
- modelling and texturing for game environments
- principles of animation
- character pipeline
- character animation
- digital lighting and visual effects
- graphic design principles
Demonstrated skills in tools and software packages relevant to the areas listed above
