Fundraising & Development Specialist

·        Brisbane based medical research organisation ·        Report to CEO ·        Autonomy and Challenge   This newly created role will drive the acquisition of financial support for fundraising programs and engage with key donors and supporters of the cause.
The successful candidate will thrive in proactively building and nurturing corporate partnerships and high net worth individuals.
Flexible role, offering work from home and 4 day week for the right person.
Key Responsibilities: ·        Develop corporate partnership opportunities and proposals ·        Write proposals, acquittals and grants ·        Work with CEO in identifying high net worth individual target portfolio ·        Nurture and develop further existing corporate partners and high net worth individuals ·        Research, identify and follow through on funding prospect opportunities ·        Support fundraising and marketing team on content and events.
·        Provide reporting & analysis, maintain database integrity ·        Ensure annual calendar is maintained Key Criteria: Proven track record of success working in a similar role within a fundraising environment At least 5 years of experience within the not for profit or medical research sector Superior verbal and written communication skills, exceptional stakeholder and business relationship building skills Digital savvy, CRM skills, ability to influence and negotiate Excellent networker and well connected Passion for medical research     This brand new roles offer the successful person the opportunity to build on existing relationships as well as make the role their own and contribute to future fundraising strategies.
