About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Funding Manager to join our not for profit organisation and oversee the function and leadership of our funding team.
In this role you will manage the financial framework including the end of month process, financial audit process, modelling, variance reporting and commentary, budget preparation and review, and associated finance funding related policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities
Manage the Funding team to produce timely and accurate client funding reports and client service agreements. Establish and maintain collaborative and productive stakeholder relationships with Operations Managers, funding bodies, coordinators of support, financial administrators and other key relationships. Assist the GM Finance in the preparation of reporting requirements for DSOA and child safety acquittals. Maintain client budget and allocation of services and expenditure for GM Finance review. Develop and monitor key performance measures and analytics to determine funding utilisation and client NDIS timeline. Ensure compliance with all applicable funding bodies and regulators. Ensure accurate and timely invoicing based on service delivery and collecting of monies owed by relevant funding bodies. Obtain and maintain knowledge of National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) requirements and Terms of Business for registered providers. Maintain and account for grant funding, including acquittals of funds as per grant agreements. Assist managers and team in receiving relevant education and expertise to understand and achieve their financial accountabilities. Demonstrated financial management skills with a work history showing the ability to manage a funding/revenue team. Excellent business and commercial acumen with the ability to link operational and strategic priorities to client funding, working within the NDIS funding model. Strong people management ability with the skills to lead, engage and motivate teams. Excellent analytical skills with the ability to translate funding/revenue-based data into financial data and associated reporting. Excellent communication skills with the confidence and ability to influence and collaborate across all levels of the organisation. Appropriate tertiary qualifications in a related field and preferable post-graduate studies in business and/or management. Essential – awareness of the NDIS environment and ability to quickly acquire knowledge relevant to this position. Workinginthedisabilitysectormeans you will also needthefollowing:
