Functional Business Analyst - Trade Finance

Our Sydney-based client has a number of projects and BAU items in flight. The client currently requires a Functional Business Analyst who has worked in the Trade Finance domain. Finastra experience is a big plus, and experience with other trade finance platforms is also desirable.
Responsibilities Knowledge of "trade finance" and "structured trade finance" and transactional monitoring process as per internal guidelines.Maintains the knowledge and functional skills of team members in trade finance operations.Liaison with the Business and the Vendors to gather and develop new requirements.Documenting Business requirements and preparing the Functional spec.Execution of Project - Review requirements, Test Cases, Design, and Test Results.Performs and participates in periodic risk reviews with RISK department and Business Line.SKILLS Must have Minimum 5+ years of experience in trade finance with at least 1.5 years specifically in Trade Innovation.Hands-on experience in Trade Finance Life Cycle. Experience working on Finastra TI is a plus.Hands-on experience configuring static data for trade finance products including letter of credits, bank guarantees, documentary collections, etc.Demonstrated Functional understanding of project and system development life cycles; Experience of data analysis and mapping should be shown.Excellent interpersonal and structured communication skills. Excellent verbal and written English communication skills must be demonstrated.Exceptional test process knowledge and experience; Good understanding of downstream trade processes (e.g., pre-trade and post-trade, settlement/confirmations); Knowledge of APIs.Nice to have Hands-on experience on Data Analysis using SQL.
