About the role Repair, service, and maintain new and used vehicles. Perform vehicle diagnostics, road testing, and communicate with customers and team members. You will be expected to perform the following tasks:
Perform logbook services, including replacing engine oils, filters, spark plugs, brake fluids, transmission fluids, gear and diff oils, and road testing before and after work. Identify faults (electrical and mechanical) in passenger and light commercial vehicles. Fault find engine misfires, no starts, and intermittent issues with diesel and petrol engines. Remove/replace and assess engine assemblies, automatic and manual transmissions, suspension components, and brakes. Provide repairs and/or replacements for old and/or faulty components and rebuild mechanical parts. Diagnose engine and drivetrain noises, rattles, and defects. Use service manuals as required. Perform diagnostic work on engines, braking, and safety systems with diagnostic scan tools, reading and interpreting live and saved data. You will not be asked to up-sell products or parts or act in a manner that is unprofessional. Benefits and perks Full-time with a salary of $85,000 per year + Superannuation and Annual Leave. A uniform is supplied.
Skills and experience Must be trade qualified with relevant Certificate III (with on-the-job training) or Certificate IV. At least two years of relevant work experience. Current Australian driver's license. Team-oriented, happy, honest, and willing. Job Type : Full-time
