Ibis Melbourne Hotel & Apartments is a 250 room hotel including apartments with a lively restaurant and three conference spaces located near the vibrant Melbourne CBD and Queen Victoria Markets.Job DescriptionTake initiative to ensure that interactions with our guests (internal or external) are positive, productive, professional and in keeping with the principles of Heartist.Support and value the contributions of all team members, creating trust and empowering our people.Treat guests and team members from all cultural groups with respect, sensitivity and transparency.Be an advocate of ALL: Accor's loyalty program to non-members.Check guests in and out, maintaining accurate guest accounts.Take bookings, provide helpful information & enter reservations.Answer guests' queries in a timely and efficient manner.Address guest requests and handle guest complaints in a positive manner.Liaise with inter-departments to assist guests and advise of room moves.QualificationsPrevious hotel front office reception experience preferable.Professional telephone manner and exceptional customer service skills.Excellent communication, interpersonal and time management skills.A friendly and positive can-do attitude who enjoys working in a team.What is in it for you:ALL Heartist, Employee benefit card, offering discounted rates in Accor worldwide on accommodation and food & beverage.Learning programs through our "Learn your Way" Academy platforms, ongoing training and development opportunities (self-paced, virtual webinars, face to face).Become a Heartist and work in an environment where we encourage you to bring your real self to work, unleash your creativity and have fun.Discover a world where life pulses with passion.
