An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Front Office Manager to lead the team at One North Terrace in Burnie, Tasmania.
One North Terrace is a stunning, centrally located hotel in Burnie, close to local attractions, offering modern amenities and a welcoming atmosphere. The hotel features 30 well-appointed guest rooms and is managed by leading hospitality management company 1834 Hotels.
This is a fantastic chance for a dedicated, hands-on professional to join a dynamic team and contribute to delivering exceptional guest experiences.
Key Responsibilities: Work within set budgets, particularly in relation to wage costs, and ensure rosters are adjusted according to demand.Maximise yield by monitoring and optimising room rates, occupancy, and packages, while promoting hotel facilities to drive sales.Develop thorough knowledge of hotel facilities, including room types, locations, and amenities.Consistently drive growth in accommodation bookings through effective marketing, upselling, and staff training.Ensure accuracy in reservations, billing, VIP requests, room rates, and guest information.Build strong relationships with existing clients, local businesses, and the community, while identifying new business opportunities.Focus on managing and selling group bookings, including bus tour groups.Ideal Candidate Qualifications: A proactive, flexible approach to work.Strong financial acumen with experience in managing operational costs and controlling wages.Proven ability to lead, mentor, and develop a Front Office team.Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively.Capacity to thrive under pressure in a fast-paced environment.Exceptional organisational and time-management skills.A polished, professional appearance with a keen attention to detail.Knowledge of the Hospitality Industry (General) Award and compliance standards.Strong understanding and commitment to workplace safety protocols.Details: This is a full-time, salaried position with a rotating roster that includes weekdays, weekends, evenings, and public holidays.
