Freight & Logistics Officer

As part of our Supply Chain group, the Freight and Logistics Officer will work as a part of Saab Australia's Inventory and Logistics team and will be specifically responsible for international and domestic freight management. Further, this role assists the Inventory and Logistics team with other operational day-to-day tasks and activities such as packaging, handling, storage, and inventory management of all Hardware (HW) items under Saab's control.
Further, the successful candidate will:Lead Saab's management of international and domestic freight, in support of corporate and operational requirementsManage Export/Import Control requirementsManage Security requirementsAssist in the development and maintenance of the company Inventory & Logistics management processes and toolsAssist processing of all goods-in IAW the company processes including Receipt inspectionCoordinating dispatch and export LogisticsCoordinating WHS&E Control - Compliance, Audits, Writing Work Instructions, TrainingAssisting projects and corporate with HW storage and delivery activitiesAssist the Inventory & Logistics team with inventory managementSupporting technical teams in the packaging, handling, storage and transport of equipmentAbout youYour skills and experience will include:
5+ years' experience in transport and logisticsExperience working in a warehouse environment as part of a teamBe an Australian citizen and being able to attain NV1 clearanceAbility to obtain an approval to handle ITAR Controlled productEvidence of adherence to Safe Work PracticesExperience in a certified ISO 9001 organisationAbout usSaab Australia is a defence, security and cyber solutions provider, specialising in the development and integration of major defence and security systems.
