About the opportunity
Calling all night owls! We're looking for a Freight Handler to join our diverse and hard-working and friendly team night shift team at our Boud Ave, Perth Airport based StarTrack Facility. With e-commerce booming, our freight handlers are the folks making sure consignments are correctly loaded so we can get deliveries out to our customers, fast.
This is a full time permanent opportunity working from 11pm-6.36am Sun-Fri nights with flexibility to work overtime if required. This role pays $30.54 p/h plus 12% super and a 30% added penalty rate along with a $50/week location allowance. You'll be
Using your strong work ethic to help us keep delivering great serviceHandloading parcels and cartons from conveyor belts into trucks, ready for our drivers to head out on the roadUnloading trucks when drivers get back to the warehouseWrapping freight by hand or using a shrink wrapper (you know - like the ones at the airport), electronically scanning parcels and updating documentation.About you
You're fit and can lift at least 30kg repeatedly – we assess this at a pre-employment medical check to help make sure you're safe on the jobYou're laser focused, even when the role gets repetitiveYou're a team player, passionate about helping our team keep the community connectedYou're also an Australian Citizen or Permanent ResidentIf you've got a forklift licence that's a plus, since this comes handy moving freight around the warehouseYou've worked night shift previously and love the life balanceHow we'll deliver for you
