Your New Role - Transport Coordinator The Transport Coordinator sits within the Operations department and reports to the Transport Team Lead. This position will be responsible for coordinating all aspects of the company's Domestic and Express Courier transportation requirements, including air freight, and land transportation requirements.
The Transport Coordinator is responsible and accountable for (but not limited to) the following:
Co-ordinating collections and deliveries for any cleared shipments and warehouse movementsEnsuring cost effective buying for domestic collections and deliveriesCoordinating quotes and tender requests for any domestic transportation and project worksEnsuring all transport movements are promptly communicated to the relevant parties in writingCoordinating and Monitoring of all domestic Hot Shot movementsMaintaining Transport Log, ensuring all information is updated accurately in a timely manner, including any third party job costsCorresponding warehouse deliveries with the relevant Insight warehouse receiptsDelivering a high level of customer serviceAccurately accruing costs to job filesInvoicing job files as per agreed contracted ratesWhat you'll need to succeed Minimum 2 – 3 year's experience in a similar positionKnowledge of industry, customs and freight forwarding terminologyTransport Coordinator experienceStrong problem solving skillsConfident in conflict resolutionAdvanced negotiation and relationship skillsHigh level customer service skillsPositive and professional attitudeProficient in the Microsoft Office suiteHigh attention to detail and strong planning and organisation skillsAbility to prioritise tasks effectively in a busy work environmentExcellent communication skills both verbal and writtenAbility to work autonomously and within a team environmentWhat you need to do now If you're interested in this role, click 'apply now' to forward an up-to-date copy of your resume, or call Thomas Hunter now at .
