FOI Reviewer  Casual opportunity  About the role The FOI Reviewer (casual) supports the Freedom of Information Officer by reviewing patient and other hospital records in compliance with the Freedom of Information Act 1988 (Vic). The FOI reviewer ensures that hospital records are reviewed and prepared for a release decision in compliance with statutory deadlines. You'll report to the FOI Officer and form a part of the broader Legal Services team. Key Responsibilities Review patient records in line with the FOI Act and identifying any information which may be exempt from release.  Prepare records with redactions and checking all documentation has been reviewed. Escalating any files of concern, as appropriate.  Undertake training in FOI legislation, internal processes and guidelines, as appropriate.  Skills, Qualifications and experience Previous experience working in the health care system and with patient records; Possess or be working towards a clinical qualification in health services, for example nursing, paramedicine, medicine, mental health, midwifery or allied health services.
