We are strengthening our focus on fraud risk through the creation of this new role. As the Fraud Risk and Investigations Lead, you will be responsible for developing and executing Adica's Fraud and Investigations strategy, while also managing and developing the Fraud Risk and Investigations team. You will lead both internal and external fraud oversight and investigations, playing a critical role within the Risk & Governance team to promote a strong risk culture across the organisation.This opportunity will see you:Oversee and manage the end-to-end Adica insurance claim investigation process including evaluation, investigation and decision-making.Serve as the escalation point for complex issues and challenges related to both internal and external insurance claims and policy fraud.Identify and evaluate external fraud risks across the customer journey and insurance value chain.Develop and implement a strategic framework for the ongoing management of both internal and external fraud.Stay abreast of industry trends, regulatory changes and intelligence to adapt and enhance fraud prevention strategies.Collaborate with first line functions to ensure comprehensive capture and integration of fraud risks and controls within the risk management framework.Ensure compliance with external investigation standards, regulatory requirements and performance through effective quality assurance collaboration.Manage relationships with service providers involved in fraud-related activities.Prepare evidentiary briefs for consideration and potential prosecution by law enforcement.Promote a strong and resilient risk culture across all aspects of Adica's operation.Our office is based in Melbourne however we are open to remote WFH candidates from Sydney with occasional travel required to Melbourne.Your Skills & Experience
It will be essential for you to have:Minimum 3 Years experience in a similar role within a General Insurer specialising in Motor Insurance.5+ Years Experience in Law Enforcement (preferred but not essential).A bachelor's degree in Fraud Risk Management, Law, Criminology, Intelligence or a related field (preferred but not essential).Microsoft suite (Word, Excel & Outlook) – Intermediate.Able to analyse complex data through data warehouse tools such as Power BI.Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a pro-active approach to problem-solving and attention to detail.Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively.What We Offer At Adica
