OUR CULTURE & VALUES Deliver excellence through serviceEmbrace a growth mindsetCommunicate honestly and transparentlyConsider people, community and planetHave each other's backs and respect differencesShow up and bring positivityTake accountability & own our mistakesEntrepreneurial mindset where innovation is key…we want to push the boundaries of old school hospitality and shift the needle on a new way of doing things.Day-to-Day Responsibilities: Providing strategic financial guidance to the hotel leadership to align financial strategies with the hotel's goalsOverseeing budgeting and forecasting processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness, and offering insights to enhance profitabilitySupervising the creation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery to hotel owners and the IHG Support CentreEnsuring compliance with financial regulations at all levels and establishing robust internal controls to protect assets and maintain the integrity of financial dataIdentifying and implementing cost-reduction initiatives while analysing financial information to spot trends and opportunities for improved efficiencyGuiding, mentoring, and developing the leadership team in all things finance, fostering a culture of ongoing learning and professional growthCollaborating with the General Manager and department heads to support business strategies and financial decision-makingRequirements: This role is pivotal to the success of our hotel operations, in a competitive market, so to see this through we're looking for a talented professional with the perfect blend of strategic vision, operational understanding, people leadership, financial expertise and business acumen. High level communication and relationship management skills, collaborating with a wide variety of stakeholders, both internal and external.Strong business acumen and knowledge of financial management principles, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.Proficiency in financial software systems and Microsoft Office Suite.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a high attention to detail.Capacity to build and lead a high-performing finance team and commitment to developing and coaching hotel leaders on financial practices and processes.Experience within hotel operations in a senior finance role.Tertiary education within a Business, Finance, Accounting or related field (preferred).
