About the Role Team Global Express is seeking an experienced and qualified Forklift Operator to join our team immediately on the PM shift (4:00 PM - 12:00 AM) at our Webb Dock, Port Melbourne depot.
This role offers a great opportunity to utilize your computer skills in coordinating and loading dry freight, contributing directly to our customer satisfaction.
What You'll Do Undertake the safe and effective loading and unloading of pallets from trucks and containers and manage the movement and storage of freight as required.
Ensure careful handling of freight to prevent damage.
Check load restraint, packaging, and the condition of freight before it travels.
Report any damage to freight or forklift to your supervisor immediately.
Entering the data in the system accurately.
What You'll Bring Experience in driving a counterbalance long Tyne forklift is advantageous.
Familiarity with palletized freight is preferable.
A valid Forklift License is essential.
At least 2 years of experience working in a team within a fast-paced environment.
Ability to adhere to WHS and Safety Regulations.
Understanding of Load Restraints and Dangerous Goods is desirable.
Excellent attitude, strong work ethic, and reliability.
