About the role: This maternity leave cover role involves full-time 1.0 FTE teaching across the Key Learning Area of Technological and Applied Studies (TAS). In particular, the abilities to teach Stages 4-6 Food Technology and Stage 4 Mandatory Technology are required. This role reports to the respective Head of Department in the Senior School, and works in a team of collaborative colleagues to plan and deliver high quality learning in Senior School TAS courses.
This position will start Term 2 2025 and run for rest of the year.
Qualifications and Skills: The successful applicant will have: Relevant tertiary-level qualifications in the area of TAS and Teaching. Experience teaching across Stages 4-6 Food Technology, as well as Stage 4 Mandatory Technology. Experience and ability in knowing students and how they learn. Experience and ability in knowing relevant TAS subject content and how to teach it. The ability to teach Stage 6 Food Technology, with experience in the HSC course an advantage. The ability to work effectively with others, in a collaborative, professional staff team. Experience and ability to also teach in KLAs other than TAS is welcomed. A current WWCC. General responsibilities will include: Implementation of 'Deep Learning' and 'Transformation by Design' pedagogies in their programming, resourcing, delivery, and assessment of course content. Delivery of strategies for academic growth in relevant courses, as set by the Head of Department. Pastoral tasks in caring for and supporting the wellbeing of students.
