From creating products that chefs adore to delighting everyday Australians—whether it's the sauce on their burgers or the dressing on their salads—you'll play a key role in shaping the flavours people love.What you'll be doingDesigning and conducting product testing to evaluate food quality, safety, and compositionCollaborating with the Innovation team to develop new recipes and formulations for food productsAnalysing test results and providing recommendations to improve product quality and production processesEnsuring compliance with food safety regulations and industry standardsDocumenting and reporting on all research and development activitiesSupporting the scale-up of new products to commercial productionProviding technical expertise and training to the production teamWhat You Bring:Strong communication and collaboration skills to achieve results with and through othersAttention to detail in documenting and developing processes, with a creative mindset for solving challengesAnalytical skills to conduct product testing, interpret data, and refine formulations.Some experience in Quality Assurance within FMCG or food & beverage manufacturing (work placements or early-career roles welcome!)Familiarity with HACCP, SQF, or similar quality systems would be a bonus!A tertiary qualification in Food Science, Food Technology, or Quality Assurance (or similar).A degree in food science, food technology, or a related field, with strong knowledge of food safety, chemistry, and microbiology.Why Join Birch & Waite?Shape the Future of Australia's Food CultureJoin a team where your creativity and innovation directly impact the products Australians love.
