The CompanyThis organisation boasts one of the largest production and processing facilities in Australia and is an FMCG leader.
At the forefront of both retail and the foodservice sectors, they are currently looking for a Food Technologist.
The organisation is aiming to increase volume, capacity, yield, margin delivery and quality.
The RoleThis Food Technologist position will be located at the Melbourne office in Mt Waverley in a small to medium sized lab alongside an already established and experienced Food Technologist.
This role will remotely report to the Quality & Safety Manager who is situated in their regional manufacturing site near Echuca.
Therefore, this role offers an opportunity to be an integral team member of an organization that is focused on being an industry leader with an innovation pipeline and exciting projects already in motion.
This role is responsible for successfully scaling up and developing new products, improving product simplification and raw material rationalisation.
The Food Technologist will be able to engage and influence all stakeholders both internal and external confidently in order to complete their tasks and projects.
This role will help facilitate the delivery of product trials in the factory through scale up and product transfer to manufacturing and record/report details and sign-off/conclusions.
The person will need to be flexible and be open to commuting to the Echuca site roughly once per month.
They will have an aptitude to work effectively within cross-functional teams including Production, Marketing/NPD, Sales, Marketing and Technical.
They will be able to work alone but also in a dynamic environment and be able to develop and drive structures that may not have previously existed.
They will be required to bring to the role their technical and analytical skills accompanied with passion and enthusiasm for helping create and bring to life new and exciting ideas of our client's products to the market.
This includes a strong understanding of working with sauces, powders and fibres ingredients, cost recipes and overall culinary knowledge.
Skills & Experience Degree qualified in Food Science or Technology.Direct experience working in a food-manufacturing environment, preferably in sauces.Possess a real passion and enthusiasm for learning, food manufacturing and process improvement.Come with at least 5 years' experience working as a part of an NPD team within a medium sized organisation.Be able to excel in dynamic environments and wear different hats and handle tasks beyond their usual duties.Benefits A competitive salary is on offer for the successful candidate.Be part of one of the largest Australian food manufacturing businesses with a highly collaborative and inclusive culture.For More InformationHere at Miller Leith we are open to having a conversation about your next career move.
