What you'll be doing: Assist with the safe storage, ordering, receiving, and delivery of meals.
Transport meals in accordance with daily instructions.
Deliver meals specified by Supervisor Food Services or administration officer and in accordance with Food Safety Standards and Best Practices, Guidelines and Unit's procedures.
Monitor client's well-being, including the clients' environment, physical appearance, and cognitive state.
Report any concerns to Supervisor Food Services.
Develop a positive and respectful relationship with the client and address them courteously and professionally.
Where necessary assist in introducing clients to delivery procedures when commencing meals.
Distribute and provide menus to clients and assist with menu choices where required.
Collect menus from client in timely manner.
Report client changes to the Supervisor Food Services.
Provide clients with relevant documentation/forms and information on menu changes and assist clients with menu choices, as directed by Supervisor Food Services.
The skills and experience you'll bring to the role: Monitor the wellbeing and other circumstances of clients.
Actively observe while undertaking work and discuss any observed changes with the supervisor immediately.
Monitor and advise of dangers or risks in and around environments where clients live and advise supervisor of concerns about client's safety and wellbeing.
Strong skills in relationship building with individuals from a broad range of backgrounds, ages, and abilities, whilst maintaining cultural sensitivity.
Capacity to work effectively with Council officers, service providers, seniors, and community groups.
Well-developed oral and written communication skills Strong skills in relationship building with individuals from a broad range of backgrounds, ages, and abilities, whilst maintaining cultural sensitivity.
Experience in the food service industry.
Required Certifications & Qualifications: Food Handlers Certificate Level 1 Knowledge of the delivery of CHSP/ HACC services and Café Meals program within local government.
Current Level 2 First Aid Certificate Current driver's licence.
