About the role: We are offering a unique opportunity to join the team at the Victoria Police Academy catering unit where your duties will involve contributing to catering requirements for recruits and staff. A rotating menu ensures that no two days are the same. You will be kept busy producing quality high volume meals for the café's meal services, in addition to catering requirements for functions.
This position involves rostered shift work, working Monday to Friday from 5.30am to 18.30pm. Occasional weekend work may be required.
The position will report to team supervisors or the Catering Manager

Your duties will include.
Preparation of food stuff. Assisting Chef in cookery. Assisting in plating up. Maintaining a clean and safe work environment. As the successful applicant, you will have: Certificate 3 in cookery minimum mandatory qualification.
Food Safety Certificate. Experience in high volume catering. Experience in working in kitchens. Requirements and relevant information: This position is located at Victoria Police Academy, 1 View Mount Road, Glen Waverley. This position requires shift work as indicated in the Position Description (as attached to the advertisement). Applicants must be an Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident or hold a valid work permit or visa. The successful applicant will be required to undergo pre-employment checks which may include fingerprint checks and misconduct screening.
