Food & Beverage Manager

We are currently seeking an experienced Food & Beverage Manager to lead our exceptional team.About You:You will oversee all aspects of the Food & Beverage and Events department, in conjunction with the senior management team. You will be responsible for all Food & Beverage and Events Operations at the property including Zephyrs Restaurant, Foxy's Bar & Grill, Retail Store, Pool Bar as well as all Conferencing, Events and Functions operations.You have exceptional time management skills and are able to prioritise and delegate tasks to ensure efficiency and profitability. You display professionalism at all times, especially when under pressure and mitigate any negativity. You take initiative to deliver solutions and are committed to ongoing professional development.You are hands-on and a team player who is willing to lead by example and support their busy team. You will also have a great knowledge of the financial aspects relating to the role, including managing labour & COG's to budget, rostering, and development of revenue building initiatives for the team. Above all, you will ensure guest satisfaction is maintained across the diverse folio of outlets.Reporting to the General Manager and Operations Manager, your key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Supervising and supporting your employees to ensure service standards are met and policies and procedures are observed to provide a consistent, high level of service for all levels of customer contact.Coordinate staff recruitment needs, corrective action meetings and any personnel issues with the HR Officer and senior management team.Manage and support your department Managers and Supervisors in operations.Administration duties including adoption of our HR software program.Oversee stock take processes, ordering & barge delivery days.Work with the Conference & Events Coordinators to effectively communicate with kitchen and line staff regarding event & restaurant room set ups, whilst ensuring client expectations are being met with menus, mealtimes and special dietary requirements.Liaising with the Executive Chef in coordinating menus and maintaining company hygiene standards for food handling and presentation.Skills you will possess:Strong computer skills in all aspects including spreadsheets & POS systems - Guest Centrix or H & L will be highly regarded.Excellent attention to detail with professional and adaptive communication techniques.A hands-on approach with strong leadership skills and the ability to successfully train, guide and mentor staff.Excellent time management, verbal and written communication skills.Mandatory:Must have a current National Police Check issued by Queensland Police or able to obtain one within three weeks of commencing employment - for all live on Island staff.Current Australian First Aid Certification.Why work for us?Attractive salary package with accommodation and all meals included.Discount on restaurants and resort activities.Fun, supportive, family-friendly culture.Free staff Gym.Access to walking tracks, snorkeling, turtle tours, kayaking, diving, fishing and so much more!This role is full time, salaried, live on Island position.
