About the Role Elders is seeking a Fleet Operations Officer to join the Elders Fleet Operations team on a permanent, full-time basis. We're looking for an enthusiastic, engaged, accountable team-player who'll perform an integral role in day-to-day operational fleet activities to ensure that our fleet of over 2,500 vehicles operates effectively.
Elders Fleet has been reimagined with new management. Now is the perfect time to play your part in shaping the future by refining, mapping, and reviewing processes and procedures to optimise team performance, in addition to day-to-day operational activity. You'll join the existing Fleet Operations team in this internal customer-facing role, supporting Elders' drivers, managers, and other stakeholders to manage the needs of the fleet, supported by an external Fleet Management Organisation (FMO). This role delivers a great customer experience for staff and stakeholders through timely response, accurate record-keeping, and an understanding of Elders' complex fleet requirements.
Responsibilities Support the Fleet Operations team by being a primary point of contact for drivers and other stakeholders. Support the FMO as a day-to-day contact for general queries. Complete actions to terminate, activate, and vary fleet contracts. Update data and records through exception reporting and error identification. Contribute to process improvement activities day to day and via targeted projects. Undertake ad hoc tasks to support the operation of the Fleet. Assist the Fleet Operations Team Leader and National Fleet Operations Manager as required to perform tasks such as forecasting, allocating, and ordering new vehicles and accessories. Prioritise customer experience across all interactions and develop effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders at all levels. About You Energetic, outcome-driven collaborator who wants to learn and develop professionally. Experience in general administration, fleet management, automotive support, or similar.
Exceptional organisational skills, attention to detail, and willingness to follow processes. Ability to manage multiple competing priorities at once and succeed in delivering outcomes in a timely manner. Problem solver, willing to pick up the phone and talk through stakeholder concerns. Unambiguous, technically-correct written and verbal communication skills. Proficient in Outlook, Teams, and Excel. Comfortable working digitally, with a geographically-diverse Fleet Operations team and stakeholders. Self-motivated, reliable, and collaborative. A commitment to continuous improvement, understanding how and why problems may occur and working through mitigants and solutions until they are resolved. Thrive in a fast-paced environment. Enjoy learning and understanding new systems and processes. You might not meet all of the above criteria. However, don't hesitate to apply should you see yourself contributing in the role – flexibility is available. This role offers a hybrid working environment to support the right applicant. The Fleet Operations team is currently based in South Australia and Victoria. Elders' Adelaide office is the primary place of work; however, applicants from other areas are also encouraged to apply.
