Fleet Manager/ Vehicle Allocator

Velox is looking for a Full-time Vehicle Fleet Manager and Administrator.A fleet manager is in charge of anything and everything that involves Velox Transport's fleet of commercial motor vehicles.
They oversee fleet maintenance, the process of procuring and replacing vehicles, hiring drivers, etc.The fleet manager must direct the following activities:Vehicle purchasing, insurances, registration, and mechanic checksMechanics or workers for rental vehicle companies are idealManual labor involved such as washing vans and preparing them for driversAbility to repair small parts such as changing side mirrors or taillights is a bonusMust be handy with vehicles and able to assess vehicles with some understanding of machineryEfficient asset utilization and maintenance and service managementExperience in managing vehicle breakdowns, NRMA roadside, and towing proceduresVehicle inspection, transportation, and maintenanceReal-time vehicle location trackingVehicle performance monitoring, record keeping, and improvementA fleet manager reports on:Issues and bottlenecks detected in fleet operationsFleet performance and expensesBudgets and major purchasesCosts of fleet operationsPlans and sets fleet-level targetsThe Fleet Manager will mainly manage commercial vans and trucks, with the potential to manage drivers leading to a higher role.Job Types: Full-time, PermanentPay: $25.20 – $35.00 per hourExpected hours: No more than 50 per weekSchedule:8-hour shiftAfternoon shiftDay shiftSupplementary Pay:Performance bonusAbility to commute/relocate:Strathfield, NSW: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)Application Question(s):Are you local to Strathfield and Belmore area?Do you have experience managing vehicle breakdowns, NRMA roadside, and towing procedures?Experience:Mechanical: 1 year (Preferred)Vehicle management: 1 year (Preferred)Work Location: In person#J-18808-Ljbffr
