Launceston Veterinary Clinic is seeking an experienced vet nurse to join our exceptional nursing team for a Full-Time, 12 month Fixed-TermMaternity Leave position! Launceston Veterinary Clinic, an established veterinary clinic in a brand-new facility, is committed to delivering up-to-date, professional, and affordable healthcare. Our diverse caseload includes companion animals, greyhounds, wildlife, and pocket pets. Equipped with ultrasound, digital radiography/endoscopy equipment, we offer on-the-spot assistance for nearly all pet health and medical needs. We have an exciting opportunity for a Full-Time Veterinary Nurse to join our team during this fixed-term maternity leave cover period, with the potential for ongoing work. Key Responsibilities: Provide effective support to veterinarians in various aspects of veterinary nursing, including anaesthetic monitoring, animal handling, IV catheter placement, and blood collection. Maintain an excellent level of patient care and customer service, treating each patient with the utmost care. Ensure a consistently high standard of organization and cleanliness in the hospital and kennel areas. Assist with reception and administration tasks as required. We are looking for candidates with: A minimum of 1-2 years' experience in Veterinary Nursing, supported by relevant Certificate IV qualifications. Exceptional customer service skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrated abilities in client relationship building. Willingness to actively engage at all levels, displaying energy and drive.
