About the role:Peabody currently has an exciting career opportunityfor a Fixed Plant Maintenance Superintendent join our Wilpinjong mine. Our Wilpinjong mine is a low strip ratio open-cut mine located 58 kilometres northeast of the historic and country charm of the City of Mudgee , producing a high quality thermal coal for export with long term contracts for the domestic market. Wilpinjong is a multi-seam operation utilising truck / excavator and dozer push methods and currently producing 12 - 14mtpa of coal.Reporting to the Mine Maintenance and Processing Manager
, you will oversee routine maintenance as well as specified and/or general project work as required. You will be responsible for the maintenance of all fixed infrastructure across site, including the Coal Handling and Preparation Plant, Mine Infrastructure and general administration areas. In addition to this, you will also have responsibility for all construction activities such as erection of new administration buildings and workshop facilities. You will have four Maintenance Supervisors as your direct reports.Duties will include:Ensure compliance with all statutory and regulatory requirements and all Peabody site policies and proceduresDelivery of a safe and healthy workplace and ensure all safety incidents and actions are closed out in a timely mannerEnsure the delivery of effective maintenance planning, forecasting and budget outcomesEnsure all statutory inspections and maintenance tooling/safety equipment is maintained and periodic calibrations/inspections are recordedDevelop a continuous improvement pipeline along with consistently delivering solutions that enhance business outcomes including where required working with OEMs and other Peabody sitesEnsure machine health monitoring and assessment information is actioned to delivery machine and component lifeMinimise production downtime & scheduled maintenance through effective planning/delegation techniquesActively promote the four pillars of the Peabody Leadership Model (Inspire, Innovate, Execute, Collaborate)The lifestyle:This position is offered on a Monday to Friday roster and can allow for a residential lifestyle in nearby Mudgee district.Peabody Energy also offers the following:Exceptional relocation benefitsEmployee assistance program available for yourself and immediate familyNovated vehicle leasing availableHealth and lifestyle benefits (WHEREFIT).Employee recognition programAbout you:Qualified tradespersonExperience in Mining CHPP (desirable)Considerable experience in project managementProven experience in a similar role in an open cut environmentExperience managing and leading a team of tradespersonsStrong interpersonal and communication skills are key components of this role as you will work with closely with a variety of stakeholdersDemonstrated commitment to safety and ability to foster and maintain a positive safety cultureAbout the company:Peabody is a leading coal producer, providing essential products for the production of affordable, reliable energy and steel.
