We are part of the Virgin group of companies worldwide and launched our Australian business in 2008 with one club, five studios and a dedicated team of just 50 people. Today, we have a team of nearly 1,000 people and we're building a collection of iconic locations in Sydney and Melbourne.
Our Bligh Street club is your sanctuary, set right in the heart of the Sydney CBD. Spread over 5 levels and covering 1,585 sqm, the club features a cardio and weights zone, furnished with top-of-the-line equipment, and five custom built studios for Grid Training (HIIT), Reformer Pilates, Yoga, Cycle, and Boxing. Beyond fitness, you'll find a sprawling café with bright windows and plenty of power ports, the perfect switch for your regular work desk.
Your gig As a member of the club leadership team and reporting to the Club General Manager, you'll lead and develop the exercise experience team to achieve personal training targets and deliver world-class exercise experiences. You'll oversee club exercise operations and commercial performance.
In a nutshell -
You'll oversee the entire club exercise product range including gym floor, personal training, and group exercise to maximise the exercise experience for members You'll work to achieve penetration results and operate within agreed expense budgets, with accountability for overall performance and commercial success You'll ensure engagement levels and service quality of exercise experience are met for our members You'll recruit, coach, develop and motivate the exercise experience team to achieve agreed targets You'll advocate safety and ensure an overall safe environment for members and team members You'll oversee PT and group exercise admin to ensure seamless booking, payment, and validation You'll work with other departmental leaders to assess, monitor and improve the exercise experience and support the team All about you You have 2+ years of relevant leadership experience, your Cert IV in fitness, your first aid, and flexibility to work a non-traditional schedule. You may also have studied exercise science. A+ for you You know how to lead a team to deliver meaningful exercise experiences and thrive on exceeding performance targets. You're confident and cool under pressure. You're people focused. You're authentic. You get a kick out of getting people to those I did it! moments. You're comfortable connecting with members and thrive on building true community. You're driven. You love motivating others.
