We work collaboratively with individuals and other stakeholders to identify, discuss, and resolve the complex issues affecting our community's health and wellbeing.To find out more about Primary Care Connect, please visit www.primarycareconnect.com.auUse your knowledge of Financial Counselling and passion for community to join Primary Care Connect as the new Putting Families First Financial Counsellor!About the RoleThe role of the Putting Families First Financial Counsellor is to provide high quality financial counselling services including education, information, support and advocacy to assist individuals and their families from the following cohorts:Families with a mother who has been in custody (including remand) in the past 12 months.Families with at least one young person aged 19 or under who has had a Youth Justice Order issued within the 12 months (community order or custodial sentence).The Putting Families First Financial Counsellor delivers services varying in intensity, duration, and modality (face-to-face or telephone) based on an assessment of the client's presenting circumstances however, taxation and business advice is outside the scope of this position.Key Selection CriteriaDiploma of Financial Counselling or Equivalent undergraduate financial qualifications and counselling training or experience.Eligibility for full membership of the Financial and Consumer Rights Council.Demonstrated ability to provide assessment and case management to individuals including care coordination and working in partnership with an external lead clinician and care team.An understanding of relevant Acts relating to credit provision, debt collection and Bankruptcy.Skills in recognition of other issues requiring referral to other support programs.Ability to maintain client documentation including care plans, case notes and statistics.Ability to self-manage a complex workload, manage multiple tasks, prioritise, and delegate where necessary to meet prescribed timeline with available resources.High level of communication and interpersonal skills.Experience using technology to complete daily work tasks.Professional and personal alignment with Primary Care Connect core values.Benefits and PerksPrimary Care Connect provides a supportive workplace with staff who are committed and passionate about the community that we work in.
