FINANCIAL ACCOUNTANT | MELBOURNE CBDContract: 6 weeksPay: $58.41p/h + superLocation: Melbourne CBDWork Model: Hybrid (2 days in office, 3 days WFH)Role Overview:Join a team of 9 Financial Accountants within a 27-person Finance team within the Victorian state government.
The role focuses on month-end and year-end processing and reconciliation tasks to ensure accurate financial reporting.Key Responsibilities:Conduct insightful month-to-month financial analysisManage reconciliation processes and complex expenditure itemsContribute to month-end processes and activitiesAssist with tax compliance (BAS, Payroll Tax, FBT)Support cash forecasting and annual financial statement preparationRespond to audit queries and assist with external reportingAdminister purchase card and cab charge systemsAssist with procurement activities and purchase order managementStakeholder managementUndertake additional finance duties and projects as directedRequirements:• Experience with Oracle essential• CA/CPA qualification (preferred)• Excellent communication skills• Strong resilience and lateral thinking abilities• Proficiency in month-end and year-end financial processes• Ability to quickly adapt to new systems and processesTo apply, please submit your resume and a brief cover letter highlighting your relevant experience.At Randstad, we are passionate about providing equal employment opportunities and embracing diversity to the benefit of all.
