Employing 350 people with over 30 years of experience, HPS Transport are market leaders in moving perishable and temperature sensitive goods between Adelaide and Perth. A family-owned business, HPS has carved itself an impressive reputation within their specialist market sector. Due to ongoing company growth, an outstanding new opportunity has arisen for a proven and successful Financial Controller to join their Head Office at Regency Park. The Financial Controller will be involved in all aspects of the day-to-day running of the Finance function and will contribute to the development and delivery of business-wide initiatives focused on business growth, company strategy and financial results.

Key Responsibilities Overseeing and managing all aspects of the finance department (including supervising accounts receivable and accounts payable).Oversight of month-end process including management reports (P&L, cashflow).Cashflow forecasting.Preparing monthly management reports and annual financial statements.Preparing taxation returns such as PAYG, GST and payroll tax for CEO approval.Preparing statutory trust account entries and processes for CEO approval.Managing the financial systems of the business.Providing commentary and analysis around business performance to the Board.Management of Accountants and junior team members.Prepare income and profitability projections for branch and individual jobs for Senior Management and recommend any action required.Review and analyse recent profitability results for their branches.Meet with Directors on a monthly basis to go through P&L's.AD-hoc job profitability reporting for Senior Management and PA's.Expense analysis and review of monthly financial reports. Skills and Attributes: Professional accounting qualifications - CA or CPA.Staff management experience.Strong financial reporting and tax experience.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Confident dealing with senior stakeholders.Strong attention to detail.Experience using budgeting, forecasting and reporting tools.Advanced computer software skills, including Excel and other accounting packages.Prompt, accurate production and turnaround of work.Strong research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.Professional demeanor. #J-18808-Ljbffr
