Talent Right is working exclusively with MFI Automotive to find a Financial Controller who will join the leadership team in a newly created role. With over 35 years of expertise, MFI Automotive specialises in building Australia's most durable, efficient, and safe service bodies for commercial, emergency, and recreational needs. Known for innovation and robust designs, MFI supports clients with custom service bodies that meet high demands for corporate and trade use.
Role Overview:
The Financial Controller will lead MFI's financial operations, ensuring the accuracy of financial reporting, compliance, budgeting, and forecasting. This role partners closely with production, operations, and senior leadership to align financial goals with business strategies.
As our financial steward, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the financial landscape of the organisation, influencing strategic decisions that drive our success.
You will work closely with the senior leadership team, directly impacting the financial strategies and operational efficiency. With a focus on both hands-on management and strategic oversight, you'll be in a position to implement your ideas and drive process improvements from the ground up.
Key Responsibilities: Prepare and analyse monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statementsManage daily accounting operations, including accounts payable and receivableDevelop and monitor annual budgets in collaboration with department headsConduct variance analysis and provide insights on financial performanceOversee costing activities and implement cost-control measuresEnsure compliance with financial regulations and maintain internal controlsMonitor cash flow and manage working capital for operational needsLead and mentor the finance team, promoting professional developmentSupport financial strategies to enhance company performanceRequirements: Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CMA preferred5–7 years in accounting/financial managementStrong proficiency in accounting software (SAP, Oracle) and advanced ExcelExperience in cost accounting and ERP systems is advantageousBusiness acumen; ability to influence senior decision-makersProactive, creative problem-solver with a drive for continuous improvementProven track record in achieving high performance and financial successBenefits: What's In It for You?
