Broadway is an independent corporate management and consulting specialist firm. We have been assisting small to medium cap ASX listed companies with Company Secretarial, Accounting, Administrative, Financial and Corporate Governance services for over 25 years.
 
About the role
The Financial Controller / Company Secretary role is a hybrid role, encompassing the responsibilities for ensuring timely achievement of financial reporting and management of financial processes, with the provision of company secretarial compliance advisory to our clients at Broadway. The responsibilities go hand in hand with the delivery of quality advisory and compliance services for our clients.
 
Key Requirements CA/CPA (International Equivalent) qualified with a minimum five years of recent experience in audit or business advisory. Exposure to ASX-listed companies is preferred.Company Secretary experience is not essential and movers from public practice are encouraged to apply.Desire to further develop your skills, particularly in the area of governance.Attention to detail, self-motivated with ability to work in an organised and accurate manner.Ability to problem solve and triage any issues arising on a day-to-day basis.Exposure to accounting software is an advantage (MYOB/Xero focus).Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Word and Excel predominantly).Mature and confident communicator.Capable of working under pressure at times.Ability to manage various and competing deadlines to meet reporting and statutory obligations.Experience in dealing with external auditors is advantageous.Team-oriented person who has the ability to work collaboratively on projects, capable of following procedures and direction, and an ability to work autonomously.Positive mindset and ability to confront challenges and obstacles with a lens of professional improvement.
