Financial Controller | $170K – $180K Package | 12-Month Fixed Term Contract

Growing, well regarded international business Suits strong people manager who is looking for a broad role 4:1 hybrid working The Opportunity Our client is a highly regarded large and growing company that employs over 10,000 people globally.
They are known widely for their positive impact across some of Australia's most important primary industries.
As a result of a recent acquisition, we are seeking a Financial Controller to commence as an initial 12-month fixed term contract.
It's likely the role will convert to permanent, so candidates with a notice period are very welcome to apply.
Given the recent acquisition, you'll have the opportunity to lead on key projects, such as systems and reporting integrations across ANZ.
The Challenge Reporting to the CFO, some of your key responsibilities will include: Oversight and management of financial reporting, internal and statutory Managing the internal control framework for the finance function including design, testing and reporting Preparing or assisting in the preparation of budgets and forecasts Managing audit engagements including provision of information and evidence to meet audit requirements and the resolution of outstanding matters Working with the Tax Manager to ensure timely lodgement of returns and supporting documentation Remaining up to date with legislative and regulatory requirements and providing advice to the business as required Completing ad hoc reporting, analysis and project tasks Managing a high-performing team of 6 The Expertise Please consider expressing interest in this position if you possess the following: CA / CPA qualified with relevant experience – this may have been gained in industry or a Chartered environment Good working knowledge of IFRS and USGAAP Experience within a SOX environment is useful Experience in a related industry – logistics, supply chain, FMCG or agriculture is nice to have Most of all – you're a strong all-rounder with excellent interpersonal, communication and organisational skills The Next Step If this position will enhance your career and you would like further details on the client, the role, remuneration or a copy of the position description, please call Sophie Wood for a confidential discussion on 0491 237 829.
