Our client, a global Oil and Gas operator, is currently seeking a Budget & Reporting Analyst in Perth for a 12-month contract.
Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Support the timely reporting of budget/forecast/plan and actual performance results in the Company's database;Provide economic and commercial support regarding the upstream and renewable business and commercial activities of the Australian Business Unit;Support the coordination of the budgeting and planning functions within the Business Unit;Support special and contractual fiscal analysis for business activities;Report operating and financial results: Input and review of clients BMS-Mastro reporting systems for budget, forecasts, and actual processes, ensuring compliance with petroleum contracts and the latest Reporting standards (IFRS);Assist with the preparation of Monthly, Quarterly & Annual financial statements and implementation;Compile financials for quarterly forecasting, 4-year plan, and long-term plan processes, including facilitating contributions from technical and administrative departments;Prepare production, operative data, and P&L/BS variance analysis;Control costs on budget expenditure;Assist with the preparation of Current and Deferred Tax Calculations;Prepare supporting documentation to comply with Sarbanes Oxley controls;Maintain updated internal production, capex, opex, and cash flow forecasts for economic modeling purposes and Free Cash Flow projections;Ensure coordination of the Authorization for Investment and Monitoring processes for Development investments;Support the Planning & Reporting Coordinator in preparing Management Presentations for planning processes (Budget, Forecast, Outlook, Business Plan), and provide support in analyzing Contractual or Fiscal matters relevant to the Company, in coordination with third parties and fiscal advisors;Communicate and interact with key departments such as Exploration, Legal, Engineering/Operations, and Finance, and all other staff in the Perth office;Liaise with staff in Milan Head Office;Report to the Planning & Reporting Coordinator;Liaise with external Joint Venture Partners;Liaise with other external Organizations within Australia and overseas;Liaise with authorities and Tax consultants regarding tax and contractual matters.The successful candidate will be able to display: Degree qualified in Accounting, Finance, or Economics;5 to 7 years' experience in financial accounting or economics roles;Chartered Accountant or CPA qualified;Knowledge of IFRS and reporting skills for a large energy organization;Familiarity with the Corporate planning and reporting cycle of an Oil and Gas Company and generation of planning and budgeting deliverables (Business Plan, 4-Year Plan, Long Term Plan, Ceiling tests);Knowledge of Petroleum Contracts and Taxation Law;Ability to work independently or as part of a team; excellent analytical and communication skills;Good interpersonal skills, willingness to learn new tasks, and flexibility with duties;Strong team player.
