Financial Accountant / Senior Accountant

Position Summary:
This role will be responsible for general accounting responsibilities and support Asset Management activities within the Project Development business in Australia. It will also independently manage month-end closing and prepare financial and other compliance reporting.
Responsibilities:
Prepare full set of accounts independently and manage full scope of month-end closing.
Prepare monthly financial reporting schedules, balance sheet reconciliation, financial analysis, and bank reconciliation statements accurately and timely.
Manage the entities' compliance lodgment, annual audit, and income tax return, Country by Country filing, transfer pricing documentation, GST and FBT, respond to auditor or tax agent's requests and questions.
Ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures, internal control, tax, and statutory requirements.
Manage treasury functions and administration, including cash flow management, bank reconciliations, and administer bank's relationship, user setup and maintenance, online banking security, KYC, etc.
Coordinate with other departments to support and resolve accounting-related issues and transactions.
Assist with ad-hoc assignments from management and the Regional Finance team.
Perform other ad-hoc duties as required.
Qualifications and Experience:
Bachelor's degree or above in Accounting or Finance.
6+ years of financial analysis/accounting experience in a large MNC with a strong preference for local experience and knowledge of Australian accounting practices and compliance requirements.
US GAAP knowledge is preferred.
Energy / Construction / Project Management industry experience is preferred.
Hands-on SAP experience and strong Excel skills.
Strong communication skills in English.
Ability to solve problems independently in a fast-paced environment and strong desire to learn and grow.
Big 4 training or audit work experience is an advantage.
